What’s a 5-Day Microgreens Challenge?
This 5-Day Microgreens Challenge helps participants have fun while improving their health by eating nutrient-dense microgreens for 5 days in a row!
What Is A “Challenge”?
A favorite definition of challenge is “to invite someone to take part in a competition.”
In this case, one is not competing with other people who are undertaking the challenge — because an award will be issued to every person who completes a challenge — but rather to compete with oneself to see if he/she can use microgreens in foods for 5 days in a row without fail.
Benefits of Going Through a 5-Days Microgreens Challenge
The benefits of undertaking a 5-Day Microgreens Challenge include:
- Learning more about microgreens and their healthful properties;
- Improving one’s health through consuming nutrient-dense microgreens 5 days in a row;
- Stretching one’s imagination to prepare 5 different foods, one-a-day for 5 days in a row;
- Engaging in accountability through the posting of one’s photo, description, and name each day for 5 days in a row; and
- Connecting with other like-minded microgreens enthusiasts!
How to Participate in This 5-Day Microgreens Challenge
This 5 Day Microgreens Challenge takes place within a Facebook group, where:
- Each participant “self-competes” for a virtual prize/award/badge (no monetary value);
- Each participant comments on our Facebook group each day of the challenge with:
- a photo showing the microgreens used in a food/dish;
- a description of what the photo shows; and
- his/her/their name; and
- (At least for now) The 5 days of challenge are:
- the Saturday upon which one buys microgreens, and
- the immediate following Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
What’s Involved?
If you are a participant in our 5-day microgreens challenge, you will:
- buy a low-cost quantity of microgreens from NKBJ Microgreens or someone in Vicki’s vetted microgreens grower network;
- receive reports in PDF format, which will be available by links delivered to you by email;
- gain access to the date-specific microgreens challenge Facebook group;
- freshly prepare a dish of food containing the microgreens;
- comment within the Facebook group with your info (as described above) each day of the challenge; and
- after you have completed the 5-day microgreens challenge, write a comment with a special hashtag so that you will receive the promised rewards!
